Ed Kelly Hired an ANTI-LABOR Agent of the Heritage Foundation and National Right To Work Coalition
Three Things You Need To Know Today...November 8, 2023
The lousy judgment and exploitation of our union continue as Ed and his band of cronies keep hacking away at anything they can find at headquarters to profiteer. Now, our union has sold out our trademark logo to be squandered by the William Wood Watch company to fleece our own membership with Made-in-China goods.

Their founder, a seemingly typical anti-labor rights executive, brags about how his company has no employees and thrives off “freelancers” while, according to the NY Times article, manufacturing his watches third party in mainland China and Hong Kong. That is the company that the IAFF president sold out our logo and brand to.
This exploitation is a clear violation of our IAFF logo policy, which states that “Products licensed to display the logo must be union-made or when union products are not available, must be made in the United States and Canada."
Another policy violated to try to make a quick buck turning our backs on real artisan US and Canadian watch manufacturers and their labor union employees in place of not-so-cheap made-in-China imports.
The General President partnered with and signed over our members' opinions and stories about the IAFF to an agent of the Heritage Foundation and National Right To Work Committee.
Did you get the email from the IAFF asking you to participate in a Focus Group with Frank Luntz?
I did, and I was shocked. Who is Frank Luntz?
For those of you who might not know, Frank Luntz is the political mastermind and architect behind the Heritage Foundation’s decades-long assault against labor unions and collective bargaining. He even has a page of archived attacks against our brothers and sisters in labor on the National Right to Work Committee's website.
He is an enemy of our union. Not an impartial ally or pollster.
Ed Kelly engaged, contracted, and spent tens of thousands of our union dollars to fund the man who profiteered from and orchestrated the National Right To Work Committee's Legal Defense Fund study of union member attitudes as part of a coordinated attack on organized labor from within.
Worse, our members are forced to sign a release and provide consent for Frank Luntz to broadcast their interviews on media outlets, TV, and the Internet. WHY WOULD OUR MEMBERS' HONEST OPINIONS ABOUT OUR UNION SHARED IN AN IAFF FOCUS GROUP EVER NEED TO BE BROADCAST ON MEDIA OUTLETS AND TV?
Ed Kelly has spent your union dues to hire an anti-labor, anti-collective bargaining, anti-union architect and agent of the National Right To Work Committee and the Heritage Foundation to record and retain the right to distribute our member's opinions and thoughts on the IAFF. The fox has been invited to feast in the hen house.
And while the General President continues to deny the SEC investigation of the Financial Corporation, the IAFF FC Attorney will likely be in Austin, TX, next week as I have been personally subpoenaed for a Federal Deposition relating to Baystate and the IAFF FC.
I'll have more about the deposition out soon.
Brothers and sisters, is this the leadership you want?
Do you want a President who sells out to Chinese manufacturing for a quick hundred bucks?
Do you want a President who engages and hires agents of the Heritage Foundation and National Right to Work Coalition?
Do you want a President who likely authorizes shady, perhaps even likely illegal behavior, led by disgraced, disbarred attorneys and unprepared cronies to prop up a broken system of failed kickbacks and pay-for-play access?
We can do better and we must do better.
You are the IAFF, and in this election, you have a vote and choice.
Join the campaign to make our union work again.
Let's restore our IAFF and reaffirm our commitment to our trade union principles and members.
Part time. Just isn’t working.
